DevOps Engineer


Structo is currently looking for a DevOps Engineer for our growing software team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for the deployment, release cycle and maintenance of the cloud services in Structo. You will be the one ensuring that the core products are stable, scalable and taking the necessary measures to guarantee uptime. Apart from that, you will also need to participate in coding from time to time. You will work together in a team along with Product Owner.

key responsibilities:
  • Maintaining and updating Structo services in AWS
  • Ensuring that the systems are always available, fast and built with precision and scale to accommodate unprecedented demand
  • Bring in new ideas to the table with regards to improving and optimizing the infrastructure
  • Meeting release schedule for the software
  • Writing scripts for automation and CI/CD
  • Work closely with the team and Product Owner to develop specification and requirement
  • Bring those requirement to completion
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Contribute to and receive code review from peers
  • A degree in Engineering, CS, IT or similar field, or related work experience
  • Solid understanding of Networks, Storage, Unix/Linux environments, Content Delivery & Virtualization. Hands on Linux skills a must.
  • Build and release automation tools (Jenkins/Hudson).
  • Strong scripting skills in at least one of the following: Bash or Python.
  • Experience in Amazon AWS cloud computing services, for example EC2, S3, Route 53, Lambda
  • Proficient in at least one of the following languages or frameworks: JavaFX/Swing, Javascript, NodeJS, ReactJS, PHP
  • Self-motivated and driven
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skill
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
