Lead Mechanical Engineer


We are currently looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer. You will lead the design and development of products from concept to commercialization including system definition, specification prototyping, manufacturing, testing, installation and commercialization. You will ensure that throughout their lifecycle, products meet specification, functional design and business performance requirements in accordance with recognized industry standards and regulation. You will be working with a project team, and collaborate with electrical engineers, supply chain, quality and reliability, manufacturing, software, and material team. This role will require participation in a cross-functional team.

Structo is a Global 3D printing solutions provider headquartered in Singapore. We design, develop and build 3D printers tailored for dental applications using our unique proprietary MSLA technology. key responsibilities:
  • Lead person for the design of Structo products
  • Be the architect of Structo 3D printers
  • Product specification and concept design based on requirements
  • Ensuring that products meet specification, functional design and business performance requirements throughout their lifecycle
  • Perform mechanical and system design, calculations, specifications, technical reports and drawings
  • Use CAD to design innovative and functional design
  • Generate prototypes and support development of manufacturing process
  • Conduct DFMEA for the design
  • Ensure that the products are designed with safety certification in mind
  • Prepare and review BOM list
  • Support and mentor the design engineers within the products team to enhance and create future capability
  • Ensure intellectual property and commercial issues associated with product development and introduction are effectively managed with suppliers and customers
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers, quality and reliability, supply chain, manufacturing, software and material team to create a great product
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma holder in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience with 1 year supervisory experience
  • Well-versed with CAD tools (Solidworks, Pro Engineer, Inventor, etc.)
  • Good knowledge of good mechanical design practice and GD&T
  • Good understanding of product lifecycle management
  • Good knowledge in designing plastic and sheet metal parts is a bonus
  • Good knowledge in 3D printing is a bonus
  • Familiarity with safety testing is a bonus
  • Well organized
  • Disciplined
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills
