The Planning Manager leads and oversees the functions of demand planning, supply planning, capacity planning, production planning and materials management.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and coach the team to plan, coordinate and execute planning activities.
Oversee daily activities of the Planning team and provide guidance as needed.
Develop a demand plan based on business trends, business intelligence and demand patterns.
Identify demand forecast risks and develop effective mitigation plans.
Analyze and troubleshoot demand related issues in a timely and accurate manner.
Assist in developing annual budgets and cost-effectiveness initiatives.
Schedule and lead S&OP review meetings with management, sales, supply chain, and manufacturing on regular basis.
Optimize demand planning processes to improve forecast accuracy.
Manage and control inventory to monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels.
Develop routine and ad-hoc supply and demand related reports for management.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or finance & operations management, with min. 5 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting, and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts. Knowledge of SAP/APO or Oracle Demand Planning or other software related to demand planning is preferred.
Experienced with other software packages including Windows, and Microsoft Office. This position requires strong analytical, organizational, decision making, and presentation skills.
Strong interpersonal skills are also essential to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of business affecting the forecast process.
